Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K), Thiruvananthapuram was established in September 2000 by the Government of Kerala
Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITM-K), Thiruvananthapuram was established in September 2000 by the Government of Kerala to promote higher education and IT related Information Services across Kerala and beyond. The Institute is an autonomous body, registered under Section 8 (old Section 25) of Companies Act 1956 as a non-profitable organization. The Institute is functioning from the majestic Technopark Campus in Thiruvananthapuram.
To be a premier Institution of Excellence in Science, Technology and Management related to Information that develops professionals and leaders of high caliber imbued with values of entrepreneurship, ethics and social responsibility.
To be an institution of excellence in education, research, development, and training in basic and applied Information Technology and Management and to be a leader in educational networking and services provider for higher education and professions.
IIITM-K is currently offering the following programmes.

- D Programmes
- Postgraduate Diploma programmes
There are four specialized Post Graduate Programmes (M.Sc.) being offered by the Institute in Computer Science with specialization in Cyber Security, Machine Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Geospatial Analytics. Along with the above four specialized courses, the Institute also offers M.Phil Ecological Informatics, M.Phil Computer Science and PG Diploma in E-Governance.
Government of Kerala has upgraded IIITM-K as a Digital University, named as Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology through an Ordinance (No.9 of 2020) and started functioning from IIITM-K, Technocity campus. Transition of IIITM-K to Digital University is in progress. IIITM-K will continue the ongoing batches of all academic programmes under the Institute. It will remain as a Section 8 Company focusing exclusively for entrepreneurship and incubation activities of digital technologies. ESDM (Maker Village), CMET (COE-IIOT), SPARSH, NIDHI Prayas etc will be continued.
